Fetal Pig Dissection
A fetal pig is is an unborn pig that us commonly used for dissections in biology labs.
Through this dissection, students will enhance their knowlege of biological systems by identifying components of the circulatory, respritory, nervous, endocrine, urinary/excretoy, reproductive, and digestive systems.
Circulatory System
Includes: heart, aorta, vena cavas, left/right ventricles, atria, veins, and coronary blood vessels.
Respiratiory System
Includes: nasal cavity, oral cavity, trachea, bronchi, and lungs
Nervous System
Includes: brain, and central nervous system
Endocrine System
Includes: pancreas, thyroid, thyumus, and adrenal glands
Urinary/Excretory System
Includes: kidneys, renal blood vessels, medulla, cortex, bladder, ureters, and urethra
Reproductive System (female)
Includes: female gonads, uterine horns, uterus, vagina, and genital papilla
